Taipei, Chinese Taipei, November 17, 2025: The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee, under the guidance of the Olympic Council of Asia, held a week-long campaign on the ‘Promotion of Gender Equity and Safe Sport Campaign’ last month.
The campaign which advocated safe sport, respect, and gender equality was organised by the Gender Equity Committee of the CTOC and co-organised by the Yunlin County and the local organising committee.
The theme of the campaign was ‘Walking into the Crowd,’ bringing gender-equality awareness directly to athletes, coaches and entourages at competition venues.
The campaign attracted 1,648 participants – 845 athletes, 88 coaches, 496 entourages, 219 others – with a balanced representation of 51.27 percent female and 48.73 percent male.
The participants were from six sports – athletics, archery, badminton, boxing, judo and softball.
“Education and prevention are the foundation of safe sport,” the CTOC stated. “By integrating these discussions directly into the Games environment, we help ensure that respect, safety, and equality become shared values across all aspects of sport.”
The campaign also generated strong online engagement with the related Instagram post reaching 23,909 views and 820 likes, and the Facebook post reaching 4,698 views and 98 likes.
