Thimphu, Bhutan, November 12, 2025: The Bhutan Olympic Committee has welcomed boxing expert from Cuba, Norvies Sanchez Nunes, who will serve as the Head Coach for the Bhutan Boxing Federation.
Sanchez Nunes and Ravi Raj Rai, the newly appointed Technical Director of the boxing federation, arrived in Thimphu last week tasked with strengthening and professionalising Bhutan’s boxing programme.
The Bhutan Olympic Committee commended the Bhutan Boxing Federation for this proactive initiative and firmly believes that the technical expertise and international experience brought by the Cuban coach will greatly enhance the growth of the sport in the country.
