Indonesia and Iran NOCs sign MoU to strengthen sports cooperation

Jakarta, Indonesia, November 10, 2025: The National Olympic Committee of Indonesia and the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation in sports between the two countries.

 

The MoU was signed on Sunday, November 9, on the side-lines of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between Indonesian NOC President Raja Sapta Oktohari and his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa.

 

Through this MoU, the two NOCs agreed to expand cooperation through various strategic initiatives, such as the exchange of coaches and athletes in a number of sports, the organisation of joint training camps, and multilateral championships.

 

The development of scientific, technical programmes and knowledge exchange between experts from both countries was also another aspect of the agreement.
