Kuwait City, Kuwait, November 5, 2025: The Olympic Council of Asia successfully implemented a comprehensive Anti-Doping Education Plan during last month’s 3rdAsian Youth Games in Bahrain, reaffirming its strong commitment to promoting clean sport among young athletes.
The programme which is developed in line with the World Anti-Doping Code and the International Standard for Education (ISE) focuses on prevention through education rather than enforcement.
Prior to the Bahrain Games, all youth athletes completed the ADEL Talented Athlete or TAME course, while coaches undertook the High Performance Coach module.
Then in collaboration with National Olympic Committees and National Anti-Doping Organisations (NADO), interactive face-to-face sessions and online awareness activities were organised to enhance understanding of anti-doping principles and values.
During the Games, and under the ‘Guarding the Asian Games’ initiative, the Clean Sport Ambassadors Team, offered fun, interactive, and educational activities, including quizzes and mock doping control exercises. The team comprised ambassadors from Turkmenistan, Japan, Korea, Timor Leste and Yemen, all of whom are athletes and former athletes with a shared passion for promoting fair play and clean competition.
Feedback collected from athletes will contribute to ongoing social science research and further education strategies.
Through these combined efforts, the OCA continues to build a culture of integrity and fair play, empowering Asia’s next generation of athletes to uphold the values of clean sport.
