UAE NOC President Sheikh Mansoor praises athletes for historic achievement at 3rd AYG

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 4, 2025: HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee, has praised the historical achievement of the Emirates delegation at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.

 

The UAE won a total of 31 medals, including 12 gold, nine silver and 10 bronze, to finish in eighth spot in the overall medal standings, and be the leading Arab nation in the competition.

 

Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed took to social media and expressed pride over this performance where gold medals were claimed in seven different sports: athletics, camel racing, equestrian (endurance), jiu-jitsu, mixed martial arts, muay, and swimming.

 

He highlighted the exemplary spirit of commitment, cooperation and dedication shown by the 130-strong athlete squad, and said the results were not a coincidence but a result of the hard work and a sense of responsibility towards the country.

 

Sheikh Mansoor urged the young athletes to continue to push for sporting excellence and to write new chapters for the UAE in regional and international events in the future.
