Beijing, China, November 2, 2025: The 10th Youth Camp of the Chinese Olympic Committee was held in Beijing from October 12-17, bringing together 55 participants from 24 National Olympic Committees around the world.
The theme of the camp was ‘Hand in Hand, Together for a Shared Future’ with participants having a fruitful experience and gaining a better understanding of Olympic values through lectures, discussions and dialogues with world champion athletes.
“You are the future of the Olympic Movement and the driving force for sport development,” said Ms. Shen Jie, Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese Olympic Committee in her address at the opening ceremony.’’
“I hope you will gain a profound understanding of the rich cultural heritage of China, establish strong friendships through your interactions, and jointly contribute to the wisdom and responsibility of youth and to the advancement of the Olympic Movement,” she added.
Following the opening ceremony, Ms. Wang Beixing, speed skating world champion, shared her experiences on her preparation for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and her thoughts on Olympic values.
The participants attended in-depth lectures on Olympic culture, values, and the application of AI in sports. They also immersed themselves in the charm of Beijing, the dual Olympic city, visiting the Great Wall and the Temple of Heaven, and enjoyed traditional Chinese culture through visits to the Beijing Olympic Museum and cultural activities.
Gabriel Mujollari, a participant from the Hellenic Olympic Committee, extended his heartfelt thanks to the Chinese Olympic Committee for organising the youth camp.
“Every aspect, from insightful lectures to the enriching cultural visits, was thoughtfully planned and truly impressive. This experience was unique and unforgettable to me. It allowed me to build meaningful connections with fellow participants from around the world, and I will cherish these memories,” Gabriel said.
The Vietnam Olympic Committee also highly appreciated the efforts of the COC for creating an inspiring and educational environment, stating the “programme was truly meaningful.”
