Manama, Bahrain, October 17, 2025: Bahrain will mark a historic milestone in women’s sports with its largest-ever female delegation competing in the 3rd Asian Youth Games from October 22-31.
The delegation includes 54 girls participating in 15 sports including athletics, swimming, badminton, table tennis, taekwondo, equestrian, triathlon and volleyball highlighting the steady progress of women’s sports in the Kingdom.
The participation reflects the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s commitment to empowering women and promoting gender balance in sports, in line with the leadership’s vision to enable female athletes to excel regionally and internationally.
The milestone builds on the growing success of Bahraini women in global competitions and their continued presence on podiums, supported by the Bahrain Olympic Committee and national federations.
The Games also provides Bahraini athletes with an opportunity to gain valuable experience and consolidate Bahrain’s standing in women’s sports across the region.
