Hosts Bahrain to field 204-strong athlete squad at 3rd Asian Youth Games

Manama, Bahrain, October 15, 2025: Hosts Bahrain will participate at the 3rd Asian Youth Games with the largest-ever delegation for a continental age-group multi-sports competition.

 

A record 356 delegation, including 204 athletes – 150 boys and 54 girls – will be competing in the October 22-31 showpiece the Bahrain Olympic Committee announced on Tuesday, October 14.

 

The Kingdom’s delegation will include 130 coaches, administration members, and support staff, along with 22 officials from the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

 

The 3rd Asian Youth Games officials gets underway with the Opening Ceremony next Wednesday, October 22, and it will feature more than 4,300 athletes representing all 45 Asian National Olympic Committee who will be competing in 26 sports.

 

Team Bahrain led by Chef de Mission Ahmed Abdulghaffar, and deputy CDM Abbas Bouhassan attended the delegation registration meeting at The Gulf Hotel on Tuesday.
