Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, October 9, 2025: Mongolia will send a 135 athlete contingent in 20 sports for the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain later this month.
A farewell and send-off ceremony for the Mongolian national youth team was held at ‘Burte Chano’ Square, located in front of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee headquarters.
It was attended by Battushig Batbold, President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee and IOC Member, Enkhbat Badar-Uugan, MNOC Secretary General and Beijing 2008 Olympic boxing champion, Erdenesaikhan Bilegt, Chair of the Physical Culture and Sports Authority, and representatives from various national sports federations.
The Mongolian delegation to the Bahrain AYG will be led by Chef de Mission Uchral Nyam-Osor, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic and Development.
National Youth Team leaders, volleyball athlete Anand Tsend-Ochir and basketball athlete Ms. Emujin Batbayar, have been selected as flag bearers for Mongolia at the opening ceremony of the AYG on October 22.
The MNOC has been provided with approximately 100 Million Mongolian Tugriks (roughly US$27,850) for the athletes travel, training and accommodation. Additionally the entire squad has been fully outfitted with official uniforms sponsored by Chinese company 361.
The MNOC wished their young squad good luck at the Bahrain AYG from October 22-31, 2025.
