Nagoya, Japan, October 8, 2025: Work is going on at the Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium as Ulambadrakh Markhaakhuu walks in, part of a group of broadcasters being shown around competition sites for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games on Wednesday, October 8.

The Mizuho Park venue will be the centrepiece for the Games with both Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as the track and field events being held in the 30,000-seater facility.

Games organisers say the stadium, originally built in 1950 but was torn down in 2023 and re-built from scratch, will be ready by March next year. The hive of activity as workers attended to everything from laying the natural turf pitch to hammering in signage is proof of the pudding.

Mongolian broadcaster Ulambadrakh is not worried that there will be any issues with facilities not being ready – or for that matter, any other issues like broadcasting matters.

“I have great faith in the Japanese way of doing things,” says Ulambadrakh, CEO of My Mongolia Entertainment, a free-to-air television station in Ulaanbaatar, which was participating in the 1st World Broadcasters Meeting for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

“Simply because it is Japan, I’m not worried whether there will be delays in getting the stadium ready or about any other matter. There are even a few details which need to be ironed out regarding broadcasting, but I’m confident everything will be sorted out.

“In Japan, everything is planned to the last detail. Today, from my hotel to the place where I had to get into the bus to go on this venue visit, we had volunteers standing at every corner showing us how to go. They don’t leave anything to chance,” laughed Ulambadrakh.

“So don’t worry, if they say the stadium will be ready by March next year, it will be ready, a hundred percent,” he added.

Come next year, Ulanbadrakh and MME will be in the thick of it all so that his countrymen back home can watch the Asian Games action.

"We covered the Asian Games for the first time in Hangzhou. It was a success. Aichi-Nagoya will also be the same."
