Accreditation timeline for Aichi-Nagoya broadcasters unveiled

Nagoya, Japan, October 8, 2025: Organisers of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games unveiled the accreditation timeline for broadcasters during the 1st World Broadcaster Meeting on Tuesday, October 7.

 

The key dates for broadcasters covering the 20th Asian Games from September 19-October 4, 2025 will commence with the distribution of media accreditation registration packages to broadcasters this month.

 

The key dates are:

·        October 2025: Distribution of media accreditation registration packages to broadcasters.

·        November 20, 2025: Accreditation system opens - registrations starts.

·        16 April, 2026: Accreditation deadlines for broadcasters.

·        April-May 2026: Broadcasters to verify, sign and return Accreditation Status Report.

·        From June 2026: Production and distribution of pre-valid cards (PVCs)

·        31 July, 2026: Visa waiver period begins, PVC and AG Accreditation cards can be used as the visa waiver for landing in Japan.

 

When a participant presents the PVC or AG accreditation cards in conjunction with the valid passport (or equivalent travel document) it will function as a visa waiver for landing in Japan and can be used multiple times from July 31, 2026 to October 19, 2026, for a maximum stay of 90 days.
