Governor of Aichi Prefecture urges broadcasters to use passion of athletes to make Asian Games a success

Nagoya, Japan, October 7, 2025: The Governor of Aichi Prefecture Hideaki Ohmura urged broadcasters of the 20th Asian Games to use the passion of the athletes to turn the OCA’s flagship event into a huge success.

 

Speaking on the opening day of the 1st World Broadcasters Meeting for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Tuesday, October 7, Governor Ohmura, who is also the President of AINAGOC – the Games organising committee – called on Asia’s leading broadcasting companies to capture inspiring performance to showcase the event.

 

“Take the passion of the athletes and deliver it to the public to make the Asian Games a big success,” Governor Ohmura told his audience at the Port Messe, Nagoya, Exhibition Hall, which will double up as the Broadcasting Centre and Main Media Centre during the event.

 

Organisers gave a detailed presentation of services that will be available to broadcasters prior to and during the September 19 to October 4 Aichi-Nagoya Games, the third time Japan will be hosting this showpiece following Tokyo 1958 and Hiroshima 1994.

 

“We have just under a year to go, and during this meeting, we will share with you the current status of preparations for the Games as well as key information which will make your work easier,” Governor Ohmura noted.
