Hong Kong China holds Flag Presentation ceremony for 3rd Asian Youth Games Bahrain 2025

Hong Kong, China, October 4, 2025: Hong Kong China will send a delegation of more than 180 people to compete in 14 sports at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain from October 22-31, 2025.

 

The Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong China (SFOC) hosted the Flag Presentation ceremony for the delegation on Friday, October 3, at Olympic House.

 

It is the biggest ever squad sent by Hong Kong China to an Asian Youth Games.

 

“The Asian Youth Games is the cradle for emerging athletes. I encourage our young athletes to give their best, perform at their highest level, and seize the opportunity to engage with top peers from across Asia in Bahrain. This experience will be invaluable in broadening their horizons and gaining experiences,” said Timothy Fok, SFOC President, and 1st Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia.

 

The Bahrain edition of the AYG will also serve as a stepping stone for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.

 

Ms. Rosanna Law, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, officiated at the Flag Presentation ceremony. Apart from Fok, other dignitaries present included Oscar Chow, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Edgar Yang, Hon. Secretary General of the SFOC, and Philip Mok, Hon. Deputy Secretary General of SFOC and Chef de Mission.

 

Ms. Law presented the HKSAR flag to Fok.

 

The Bahrain AYG will feature over 4,000 athletes, aged 14 to 18 years, from 45 countries and regions across Asia.

 

Hong Kong will compete in athletics, badminton, road cycling, esports, equestrian, futsal, golf, handball, judo, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, triathlon and volleyball.
