HRH Princess Eeuphelma, President of Bhutan Paralympic Committee, attends IPC General Assembly

Thimphu, Bhutan, October 1, 2025: Her Royal Highness Princess Eeuphelma Choden Wangchuck, President of the Bhutan Paralympic Committee, attended the International Paralympic Committee 22nd General Assembly in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from September 24-27.

 

The IPC General Assembly, held every two years, re-elected Andrew Parsons as President for a third term, while Ms. Leila Marques Mota (NPC Portugal) and John Peterson (NPC Denmark) were elected as Vice Presidents.

 

Princess Eeuphelma, who was accompanied by Bhutan NOC Secretary General Tshering Sonam Karma, reaffirmed Bhutan’s unwavering commitment to advancing the Paralympic Movement and its aspiration to foster inclusivity, empowerment, and opportunities for persons with disabilities through para-sport.

 

The Bhutan Paralympic Committee’s presence at this international forum reflects the Kingdom’s growing role in strengthening global collaboration, governance, and advocacy through sport.
