Tehran, Iran, September 29, 2025: Japan’s Ambassador to Iran, Tamaki Tsukada, commended the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran for getting into the spirit of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games by organising the promotional Fun Run on Monday, September 29.
Over 400 schoolchildren turned up at the National Olympic Academy in Tehran to participate in the OCA’s ‘Asian Games for All’ promotional campaign for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya in September, 2026.
Speaking at the colourful ceremony, the Japanese Ambassador said: “It is a privilege to join the Islamic Republic of Iran in this Fun Run which is a prelude to the Aichi-Nagoya Games.
“I commend the organisers for bringing everyone together to celebrate a healthy lifestyle, athletic excellence and the spirit of unity among Asian nations,” Ambassador Tsukada noted.
The Japanese Ambassador expressed his gratitude to Iran NOC Secretary General Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, Iran Chef de Mission for the Bahrain AYG, Dr. Asghar Rahimi, OCA Director of Media and Broadcasting Jeans Zhou Jian for their roles in organising the Fun Run.
“The slogan for the Asian Games is ‘Imagine One Asia’ and Japan is looking forward to welcoming Asia and the world with open hearts next September,” the Japanese Ambassador added.
