Tehran Fun Run for Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games to feature over 400 school children

Tehran, Iran, September 28, 2025: A fun-filled programme featuring over 400 children will be the centrepiece of the Tehran Fun Run to be held at the National Olympic Academy on Monday, September 29.

 

Speaking at a well-attended press conference on Sunday, September 28, Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran, disclosed that 420 children will participate in the Fun Run, taking part in a variety of events apart from the main run.

 

The Tehran Fun Run is organised by the Iranian NOC in cooperation with the Olympic Council of Asia and the Games Organising Committee, and is the 11thoverseas leg to promote the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.

 

“We have a packed programme including activities across 10 sports, a laughter yoga, sports competitions and team exercises,” the Iranian NOC Secretary General explained.

 

The Japanese Ambassador to Iran, Tamaki Tsukada, briefed the large gathering of Iranian media on the preparations for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya from September 19 to October 4, next year.

 

Jeans Zhou Jian, OCA Director Media and Broadcasting, also addressed the media assembly.

 

At the conclusion of the Fun Run, all participants will be given a medal presented by Dr. Alinejad, the Japanese Ambassador and the OCA’s Jeans Zhou.
