OCA’s Asian Youth Reporter project draws large entry in Jordan

Amman, Jordan, September 12, 2025: A total of 22 participants – 12 girls and 10 boys – featured in the Asian Youth Reporter Project, in Amman, Jordan on Friday, September 12.

Jordan is the ninth stop in the OCA’s ‘Asian Games for All’ promotional campaign for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games run in collaboration with the Games’ Organising Committee (AINAGOC) and the Jordan Olympic Committee.

Along with the Asian Youth Reporter project, a Fun Run involving schoolchildren and the community-at-large, plus a Children’s Painting Competition is also being held by the Jordan Olympic Committee as it throws its support behind the OCA and AINAGOC.

“We hope to take around 10 young reporters from Asia to the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya next year. This is a project we have been conducting since 2012, and we hope it will inspire young persons who want a career in sports journalism,” said Jeans Zhou Jian, OCA Director Media and Broadcasting.

The winner from Jordan – to be announced during the Fun Run on Saturday, September 13 – will join five other previous winners at the September 19-October 4 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya.

The previous winners are from Bhutan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Lebanon and Sri Lanka.

The central theme of the essay was ‘My Asian Games’, and the Jordanian participants were also asked to include the reasons as to why they wanted to be in Japan covering the Asian Games in 2026.
