Amman, Jordan, Sept 10, 2025: HRH Prince Omar bin Feisal, President of the Jordan Esports Federation, met with members of the media on Sunday, September 7, in the presence of HE Dr. Mohammad Al-Momani, Minister of Government Communications and official spokesman of the government.
The Jordan Olympic Committee reported that during the meeting, Prince Omar highlighted the significance of esports as a promising and rapidly growing sports sector, both locally and globally.
The discussion focused on the National Esports Strategy, where Prince Omar outlined the federation’s efforts to advance esport in Jordan, working in partnership with both public and private sectors to strengthen its presence and support.
Prince Omar also shared the federation’s plans to expand the player base, including cooperation with the Ministry of Youth to encourage youth centres to embrace esports, and coordination with the Ministry of Education to explore ways of incorporating esports into educational curricula.
He emphasised the importance of developing esports from technical and organisational perspectives, while also announcing that Jordan will host the Arab Esports League for the first time later this month.
