Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, September 1, 2025: The Olympic Council of Malaysia has extended its heartiest congratulations to Datuk Wira Dr. Nur Azmi Ahmad, Deputy President of OCM on being conferred the Professional Doctorate in Sports Management by the European International University.
This distinguished academic recognition is a testament to his unwavering dedication and outstanding contributions to the advancement of sports in Malaysia.
A former national hockey player, Dr. Ahmad has played a significant role in the development and promotion of hockey at various levels. He had held numerous positions within the hockey fraternity including Deputy President (2010-2015) of the Malaysian Hockey Confederation, as well as Committee Member of the Asian Hockey Federation during that same period.
He has also been involved with karate at both national and Asian level administratively.
“This honour is not only a personal milestone for Datuk Wira Dr. Nur Azmi Ahmad, but also a source of pride and inspiration for the Malaysian sporting community,” said Tan Sri Dato Dr. Mohamad Norza Zakaria, OCM President.
