Harbin, China, August 10, 2025: OCA Director General Husain Al Musallam has extended his best wishes for an “enriching experience” to the young participants at the 2025 OCA-ISU-CAIC Asian Figure Skating Youth Camp which began in Harbin on Sunday, August 10.
In a message to the young skaters and coaches from 20 countries and regions, the OCA Director General said: “This prestigious camp aims to promote the development of figure skating across Asia, foster regional cooperation, and provide a platform for talented young athletes to enhance their skills under the guidance of world-class coaches and officials.
“We extend our best wishes to all participants for a successful and enriching experience, and we look forward to witnessing the dedication, talent, and sportsmanship that will be showcased during this camp.” Al Musallam added.
This initiative is the latest in the Olympic Council of Asia’s push to promote development programmes across all sports in collaboration with International and Asian Federations.
Ice hockey, swimming and triathlon are a few of the sports where similar training camps have been held in previous years.
Now it is the turn of figure skating to take a spin at the Harbin Ice Hockey Arena, a splendid facility which was also used during the Asian Winter Games earlier this year.
