Dubai, United Arab Emirates, August 7, 2025: The United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee has announced that the UAE will participate in the 12th World Games in Chengdu, China from August 7-17.
The UAE will compete in three sports, with six athletes in jujitsu and one each in muay thai and triathlon.
“The participation comes as part of the National Olympic Committee’s efforts to support athletes and promote their presence at global events,” the UAE NOC posted.
The NOC held an online coordination meeting with the sports associations to review the preparations for the World Games, which open on Thursday.
The World Games will attract more than 5,000 athletes from 118 countries and regions participating in 34 non-Olympic sports.
