Sri Lanka NOC announces Chefs de Mission for major games in 2026

Colombo, Sri Lanka, August 7, 2025: The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka has announced the appointments of the Chefs de Mission for five major Games in 2026.

Group Captain Eranda Geeganage will be the Chef de Mission for the showpiece 20^th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from September 19 to October 4, 2026.

The others are: Colonel Chandana Dissanayake - 14^th South Asian Games, January 23-31, Pakistan.

Rear Admiral Manjula Dissanayake - 23^rd Commonwealth Games, July 23-August 2, Glasgow, Scotland.

Ryan Weerakoon - 4^th Youth Olympic Games, October 31-November 13, Dakar, Senegal.

Rear Admiral Pradeep Karunathilake – 7^th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, December 2026, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“The National Olympic Committee extends its best wishes to the appointed Chefs de Mission in their leadership of Team Sri Lanka across these prestigious international events,” the NOCSL posted.
