Tehran, Iran, August 6, 2025: The National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran has started conducting medical check-ups of athletes set to compete in three upcoming international multi-sports events.
Dr. Gholamreza Norouzi, NOC Vice President and President of the Iran Sports Medicine Federation, announced that medical check-ups for athletes in three national delegations – the Asian Youth Games, the Islamic Solidarity Games and the Deaflympics – are currently underway.
The examinations, conducted at the federation facilities and the National Olympic Academy, will cover all athletes, not only confirmed team members, ensuring full health readiness for the events.
Comprehensive tests include blood work, orthopaedic, cardiac, internal medicine, nutritional consultations, vision screening and anti-doping measures.
The Asian Youth Games will take place in Bahrain from October 22-31, the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh from November 6-20 and the Deaflympics in Japan from November 15-27.
