Kuwait City, Kuwait, August 5, 2025: The Olympic Council of Asia has invited National Olympic Committees to send representatives to an inaugural Mixed Martial Arts development programme for coaches and referees in Bahrain from August 25-27, 2025.
The development programme is being organised in collaboration with the Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association, Olympic Solidarity and Bahrain Olympic Committee.
“One of the main goals of the Olympic Council of Asia is to support the growth of sport and improve performance levels across the continent. Coaches and referees play a key role in this process, helping athletes perform better and contributing to the long-term development of sport in each country,” wrote OCA Director General Husain Al Musallam in an invitation letter sent to all Asian NOCs.
“With a view to supporting this outcome, OCA is delighted to announce the 1st OCA-AMMA Coaches and Referees Development Programme as part of our Continental Programme’s Special Projects."
NOCs are entitled to register a maximum of two referees and two coaches. Female participation is mandatory, and no NOC will be able to register four male participants.
The OCA-AMMA will bear all expenses, including airfare and accommodation.
The deadline for entry is Sunday, August 10.
