Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, August 4, 2025: The Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee has organised a Summer Camp in Kazakhstan for 268 young athletes, mainly aimed at the development of sporting talent in the Kingdom.

The camps in Astana and Almaty are part of the preparation for the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain in October.

Young athletes – both boys and girls – from seven sports are participating. The sports are: athletics, boxing, judo, karate, taekwondo, weightlifting and wrestling.

The camps aim to provide a professional training environment that combines technical development with physical and psychological support. It will also promote the Olympic spirit among the athletes.

Specialised workshops and interactive discussion sessions will also allow participants to build teamwork and exchange experiences.

The SOPC hopes the camp will develop individual and tactical skills, strengthening the technical and physical readiness, and building a core of national teams capable of representing the Kingdom efficiently in the future. It is also hoped that it will motivate the new generation of Saudi athletes to persevere in their sporting ambitions.
