Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, July 31, 2025: UNICEF Mongolia received the women’s national 3x3 basketball team at their HQ to recognize their historic silver medal in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2025 in Ulaanbaatar recently.

“These incredible girls are not just champions on the court, they are an inspiration to thousands of young girls across Mongolia,” UNICEF Mongolia said.

“We celebrate them and we are excited to begin a meaningful partnership with the team.”

Mongolia reached the final of the FIBA 3x3 World Cup from June 23-29, beating the United States along the way, before losing 15-9 in the final to the Netherlands, the top seeds.

FIBA3x3.com reports that the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in Mongolia marked a new high for 3x3 basketball’s global reach and digital impact, setting fresh benchmarks across all major social and broadcast metrics.

Over the course of the event, FIBA 3x3’s digital channels amassed an impressive 253 million video views — a significant increase from 160 million in 2023. Total impressions also climbed to 257 million, building further on last year’s strong momentum.

Engagement remained substantial with more than 9 million interactions, demonstrating the continued appetite for 3x3’s fast-paced, urban sport entertainment.
