Singapore, July 29, 2025: His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck, President of the Bhutan Olympic Committee, IOC Member and OCA Vice President, is in Singapore for the 60th International Swimming Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony.
The event honored Captain Husain Al Musallam, President of World Aquatics and OCA Director General, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the global advancement of aquatic sports.
During the ceremony, His Royal Highness also had the opportunity to engage with Mrs. Kirsty Coventry, the new IOC President, in a meaningful exchange on the future of the Olympic Movement, the BOC reported.
On the sidelines of the event, His Royal Highness met with H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee and Senior Vice President of ANOC. Their discussion centered on collaborative opportunities to promote the development of sport across Asia, underscoring a shared commitment to fostering regional partnerships and strengthening the Olympic spirit throughout the continent.
