Manama, Bahrain, July 27, 2025: As part of preparations for the 3rd Asian Youth Games, a delegation from Bahrain travelled to Macedonia to study the successful hosting of the European Youth Olympic Festival which ended in Skopje on Saturday, July 26.

The primary objective of this visit was to gain insights into the operations of the European Youth Olympic Festival, which features age groups similar to those of the 3rd Asian Youth Games which will be held from October 22-31 in the Bahrain capital Manama.

During their visit, the Bahrain delegation toured various facilities and venues involved in the European Festival, observing preparations and infrastructure in place.

Additionally, they participated as volunteers in several committees, allowing them to acquire first-hand knowledge of the operational processes involved in organising such large-scale events.

The delegation also engaged in key discussion with officials from the European Olympic Committee and the local organising committee in Macedonia.

During these meetings, Abdulrahman Al Abbad, AYG Operations Director, exchanged commemorative gifts, symbolising the collaboration and shared commitment to excellence in sports management.

The visit aims to ensure that the Bahraini team can leverage the experiences and best practices to host the AYG in an exemplary matter.
