Dubai, United Arab Emirates, July 21, 2025: Asia Rugby has announced that the Chinese Rugby Football Association will host the Asia Rugby Emirates U18 Sevens in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China, on September 13-14, 2025.

Featuring national U18 teams from across Asia, the tournament will bring elite youth rugby to one of China’s most culturally rich and rapidly developing regions.

Asia Rugby President Qais Abdulla Al Dhalai posted on his Facebook page: “The event will be a festival of youth rugby, showcasing the speed, skill, and spirit of the continent’s rising stars.

“It will also be the first opportunity to witness the next generation of Olympic and Rugby World Cup stars from Asia – a true look at the first heroes of Asian rugby, " Qais said.

As a vital pathway event, this tournament will determine team seedings for future international competitions, such as the qualifiers for the Youth Olympic Games 2026 for Asia.

“Special thanks to the Chinese Rugby Football Association and all local partners for their commitment to building the future of the game,” Asia Rugby President Qais added.
