Thimphu, Bhutan, July 21, 2025: The Bhutan Olympic Committee has congratulated Bhutan Cricket for winning a top award from the ICC world governing body.
The trophy was presented to the Bhutan Cricket Council Board under the ICC Development Awards 2024 in the category of 100% Cricket Female Cricket Initiative of the Year.
“On behalf of the Bhutan Olympic Committee family, we proudly congratulate Bhutan Cricket for being named global winner of the ICC 100% Female Cricket Initiative of the Year 2024, alongside Vanuatu,” the BOC posted on social media.
“This honor, received by President Thinley Wangchuk Dorji and CEO Damber Singh Gurung at the ICC Annual Conference in Singapore, celebrates Bhutan’s dedication to empowering women through cricket and fostering true gender inclusivity.”
