Manila, Philippines, July 18, 2025: The Light Rail Transit (LRT) system in Manila is spiking interest in the upcoming men’s volleyball world championship by promoting the event in trains and stations.
LRT stations are now branded with the vibrant energy of the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship as excitement builds with less than two months left before its grand kick-off on September 12.
The men’s world championship Philippines 2025 will run from September 12-28 with 32 teams in eight groups of four, followed by the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. The matches will be played at two venues: SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City and the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
“The Light Rail Transit Authority deployed free promotional placements within a single train of four coaches, and four billboards strategically placed along Katipunan, Antipolo and Recto stations to bring the FIVB enthusiasm straight to the heart of the metro, encouraging the public to unite in support of the Philippines’ historic hosting,” the Philippine Sports Commission posted on social media.
During the campaign launch, PSC Chairman Pato Gregorio, LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando Cabrera, FIVB Local Organizing Committee President Ramon “Tats” Suzara, FIVB Ambassador Bryan Bagunas and local volleyball stars Marck Espejo and Sisi Rondina boarded the FIVB-branded trains for a symbolic ride from Recto to Santolan station.
“You may also experience the dynamic spirit of the FIVB MWCH by riding the world championship-branded trains daily along the LRT 2 routes as we also rally behind our very own Alas Pilipinas!,” the PSC said.
