Mascot on a mission to promote Asian Games sports programme

Nagoya, Japan, July 18, 2025: Honohon, mascot for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan in 2026, is sharing the joy of the vast array of sports on the programme.

In a campaign entitled “Honohon’s Challenge: Asian Games Mascot Growth Story”, Honohon is promoting the sports and the Asian Games by joining in public sports demonstrations around the city.

First up was cycling, in which Honohon introduced the five cycling disciplines of track, road, mountain bike, BMX racing and BMX freestyle, and this was followed by taekwondo and, most recently, sepak takraw – a regional favourite from southeast Asia.

With 41 sports and 68 disciplines on the sports programme for Aichi-Nagoya 2026, Honohon is going to be a busy mascot in the weeks and months ahead as organisers count down to the September 19-October 4 showpiece.
