Kuwait City, Kuwait, July 16, 2025: The Olympic Council of Asia has announced the date of the next General Assembly at which a new OCA President will be elected.
The 46th OCA General Assembly will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Monday, January 26, 2026.
This was announced in a circular to the OCA’s 45 National Olympic Committees by OCA First Vice President Timothy Fok and OCA Director General Husain Al Musallam following the 96th meeting of the OCA Executive Board on Tuesday, July 15.
The Executive Board decided that an election for OCA President will be held at the next General Assembly for the remainder of the existing term until 2028, due to the continued ill health of the current President, Raja Randhir Singh.
In making the announcement, the OCA Executive Board thanked Raja Randhir for his “leadership, guidance and wisdom” and decided to appoint him OCA Honorary Life President while wishing him good health and a speedy recovery.
The OCA circular also included the agenda for the 46th OCA General Assembly as well as a candidate nomination form for the NOCs regarding the position of OCA President.
The deadline to submit the nomination form to the OCA is Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 17:00 Kuwait time.
