Hong Kong, China, July 15, 2025: The Hong Kong Athletes Career and Education Department (HKACED) is planning to run a life skills course for fitness coaches to train the elderly.
The HKACED, which is part of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, is inviting athletes and coaches to join a four-day course in order to provide specialized fitness guidance for senior citizens.
The four lessons will be held on four separate days in August at the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Mong Kok East Campus in Ho Man Tin, Kowloon, and the deadline for applications is July 25.
“Become an all-round sports coach and join the Elderly Fitness Coach Training Course for four days to help you crack the health code for the elderly and learn to design safe and effective training programmes to help them improve their health and quality of life,” the HKACED said in a social media post.
“If you want to transition from an athlete to a coach, or want to go to the next level of teaching, don't miss this class to take an important step.”
Membership of the HKACED is open to any active athlete, athletes who are planning to retire or retired athletes who have represented the Hong Kong, China team and who have been nominated by a sports association recognized by the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China.
