OCA completes Asian Figure Skating Youth Camp inspection in Harbin

Harbin, China, July 12, 2025: The OCA has conducted an inspection visit to Harbin for the forthcoming OCA-ISU-CAIC Asian Figure Skating Youth Camp in August.

The OCA camp is being conducted in cooperation with the International Skating Union and Children of Asia International Committee.

The first OCA Asian Figure Skating Youth Camp is a result of the OCA, Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) and Harbin City Government MoU signed during the 45th OCA General Assembly in Kuwait on May 12, 2025 which created an Asian Winter Sports High Performance Centre.

The three-day visit included two days of inspections at the Harbin Ice Hockey Arena and hotel in Harbin and one-day meeting at the COC HQ in Beijing for general coordination with all stakeholders.

Harbin Sports Bureau Director Bai Zhiguo has pledged his full support regarding the preparations for the youth camp.

“Both Heilongjoang provincial government and Harbin municipal city government pay great attention to this youth camp, which is the first project to kick off the great cooperation between OCA and Harbin and an important legacy of the Harbin Asian Winter Games," said Mr. Bai.

"The Harbin Sports Bureau will offer our full support to make this camp a great success."

The COC and Chinese Figure Skating Association also committed their full support during the meeting at COC HQ, together with Harbin Sports Bureau.

The OCA-ISU-CAIC Asian Figure Skating Youth Camp will be held from August 10-18. A total of 20 Asian NOCs are expected to participate.
