Jerusalem, Palestine, July 10, 2025: The Palestine Olympic Committee reports that the Palestinian Jiu-jitsu Federation is providing intensive training for its athletes to prepare for upcoming international events.
The Jiu-jitsu Federation is organising a weekly training camp for national team players in the Governorate of Ramallah and Al Bireh at the headquarters of Club 101 as part of its plan to keep players ready for international and continental qualifications.
The training is under the supervision of national team coach Ahmed Al-Khafash, and in the presence of federation president Ghassan Abu Matar and federation coaches.
A total of 25 elite players are attending the camp from both junior and youth categories.
The camp aims to enhance the national team's physical and technical readiness through a series of fitness training exercises, game techniques and mat tactics.
Abu Matar emphasized the importance of this gathering and camp in training the national team players and enhancing their physical and technical performance, ensuring they are fully prepared to participate in upcoming events. He praised the players' commitment to attending and participating in the camp.
Abu Matar pointed out that the current circumstances prevented a number of national team players from joining the camp due to the difficult transportation conditions between cities and governorates.
The national federation is planning to hold a central tournament when conditions allow.
