Muscat, Oman, July 9, 2025: The Oman Olympic Committee began a series of preparatory meetings for the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from November 7-21.
As part of its preparations, the OOC commenced a series of coordination meetings on Monday, July 7 with several sports federations. The meetings will be held for three consecutive days at the OOC Headquarters in Muscat.
The aim of the meetings is to discuss the technical and administrative aspects of Oman’s participation in the Games which will feature 57 member states of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation.
These meetings reflect the OOC’s commitment to strengthening coordination with sports federations to ensure effective participation in one of the most prominent multi-sport events in the Islamic world.
The discussion will cover aspects related to selecting the sports in which Oman will compete, based on established technical criteria. Also under review will be logistical requirements and the technical preparation of national teams.
The 6th Islamic Solidarity Games will feature 24 sports.
