Pakistan NOC discusses preparations for inaugural National Youth Games

Islamabad, Pakistan, July 6, 2025: A high-level meeting was held at the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office last Thursday, July 3, to review preparations for the inaugural National Youth Games to be held in September this year.

The meeting, chaired by Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan of the Prime Minister’s Youth Office, included the Secretary General of the Pakistan Olympic Association, Muhammad Khalid Mahmood, and senior officials and stakeholders from various Federal and provincial departments.

The POA stated on social media: “For the first time in Pakistan, the First National Youth Games are being launched under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, in collaboration with the Pakistan Olympic Association and with the support of the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination.

“With over 15 sports disciplines, international standards and a dedicated platform for emerging athletes aged 14 to 17, this initiative aims to empower Pakistan’s youth and nurture the champions of tomorrow,” the POA added.

The Games are slated for September 7-13 in Lahore.
