Hanoi, Vietnam, July 1, 2025: The Women and Sport Committee of the Vietnam Olympic Committee held a seminar on gender equality in sport on June 30.

The seminar was organised in collaboration with the Vietnam Sports Office under the theme "Sport and women in the rising era, towards growing sustainability” and was attended by more than 70 athletes, speakers, media and representatives of sports and government organisations.

The speakers covered a wide range of topics such as the participation of female athletes and coaches, high-performance sports, training and sports psychology.

The male perspective of women in sport was also presented by Mr. Tran Van Manh, Secretary General of the Vietnam Olympic Committee. He proposed that more discussions be held on women in sport to advance the movement and promote gender equality.

He also announced that the Vietnam Olympic Committee would promote careers for athletes in the workforce after competition, and that at least 50 per cent of the time would be devoted to women in sport.

“Let's spread the strong and enduring spirit of women in the sports journey,” the VOC said in a social media post.
