Phnom Penh, Cambodia, July 1, 2025: The President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, His Excellency Dr. Thong Khon, was awarded a 6th Dan Black Belt for his country’s successful hosting of the 2nd Southeast Asian Taekwon-Do ITF Championship 2025.
A 6th Dan Black Belt signifies Master status in the sport and was presented to the NOCC President by the President of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, Prof. Grand Master Ri Yong Son, at the closing ceremony.
Olympic Cambodia pointed out that the host nation won 90 medals - comprised of 48 gold, 36 silver and six bronze - to rank first in the event, which was held at the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh from June 27-30.
