Bangkok, Thailand, June 29, 2025: A total of 12,506 athletes have been entered for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand this December.
The Thailand 2025 organising committee has released details of the entry lists from the 11 National Olympic Committees in the southeast Asia region, and eight of the 11 will send over 1,000 athletes.
Host Thailand will have the biggest delegation with 1,807 athletes, followed by Malaysia (1,580), Indonesia (1,548) and Cambodia (1,515).
Cambodia hosted the 32nd SEA Games two years ago and the sports authorities in the “Kingdom of Wonder” are keen to continue to develop their young athletes in a wide range of sports, especially as Cambodia will host the OCA’s 4th Asian Youth Games in 2029.
These figures have been collected after the deadline of "Entry by Number" set by the SEA Games organizers – the second of three stages of the entry process for the NOCs. The final stage will be “Entry by Name”, with the deadline of September 1.
The draw for team sports will be held on October 18-19.
In addition, a total of 6,253 officials from the 11 countries will participate at the biennial meet.
The 33rd SEA Games will be hosted by Thailand from December 9-20, with competitions taking place in Bangkok, Chonburi and Songkhla Provinces.
