Hanoi, Vietnam, June 29, 2025: The Vietnam Olympic Committee is proud of the achievements of its female athletes – and is determined to create a solid platform on which they can continue to thrive.

With this in mind, the VOC is hosting a seminar entitled “Sport and Women in the Rising Era – Towards Sustainable Development” on Monday, June 30.

“As of now, Vietnamese female athletes have won numerous gold medals - almost as many as male athletes have won,” the VOC said while promoting the seminar.

“Therefore, in order to disseminate and continue to improve the role of female athletes in sport, the talk session will be officially organized at the Vietnam Sports Office in Hanoi.”

The event will see the participation of prominent figures such as middle-distance track star Nguyen Thi Oanh and Nguyen Thi Nhung, head coach of the national shooting team.

“Along with those two there will be many female coaches and athletes who have been contributing to shape the new look of Vietnamese women's sports,” the VOC added.

“Let's take a look back at the role of women in sport and drive positive change for an equal, sustainable future.”
