OCA seeks next generation of figure skating stars at youth camp in Harbin

Kuwait City, Kuwait, June 23, 2025: The Olympic Council of Asia is teaming up with International Skating Union,  Children of Asia International Committee to present the 2025 Asian Figure Skating Youth Camp in Harbin, China.

The camp, which is part of the OCA/Olympic Solidarity Continental Programme, will take place from August 10-18 and will include athletes and coaches.

Asia’s National Olympic Committees are entitled to send two athletes – one girl and one boy aged between 13 and 17 years, born between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2013 – and one coach.

The key dates are as follows:

July 15: Application submission deadline

July 20: Logistics arrangements

August 9: Arrival of athletes and coaches

August 10-18: 2025 OCA-ISU-CAIC Asian Figure Skating Youth Camp

August 18/19: Departure of athletes and coaches

The OCA, ISU, CAIC and Harbin Organising Committee will cover all costs of flights, accommodation and transportation for two athletes and one coach from each NOC.

In addition, the Harbin Organising Committee will support all delegates in visa processing after finalizing the registration details.

The OCA issued a detailed eligibility criteria and technical requirement for participation together with ISU, which included:

*Developing skaters (with a strong basic foundation and regular training)

*Skaters competing at Novice or Junior level

*Skaters will be grouped based on their skill(s) level to ensure appropriate and focused training

*All jump levels are welcome; however, skaters must be able to perform all single jumps

(excluding the Axel) as a minimum requirement.
