Kuwait City, Kuwait, June 22, 2025: The Olympic Council of Asia has announced details of the first Chefs de Mission Seminar for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan in 2026.
The CDM Seminar will run from September 22-26, 2025 and include a “One Year to Go Countdown Ceremony” to the 20th Asian Games on the evening of Tuesday, September 23.
The preliminary schedule is:
Monday, September 22: Arrival of NOC delegations in Nagoya, one-on-one meetings with NOCs, official dinner.
Tuesday, September 23: Opening plenary session of the CDM Seminar, one-on-one meetings with Functional Area (FA) desks, evening welcome reception and one-year to go countdown ceremony.
Wednesday, September 24: One-on-one meetings with FA desks, morning plenary session (closing session), afternoon venue tour.
Thursday, September 25: Venue tour, one-on-one meetings with NOCs.
Friday, September 26: Departure, remote venue tour (optional).
The announcement came in a letter to Asia’s 45 National Olympic Committees from OCA Deputy Director General Vinod Kumar Tiwari, who said each NOC was allowed to send a maximum of four delegates.
The 20th Asian Games will take place from Saturday, September 19 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, with 15,000 athletes and officials from the 45 NOCs.
