Kuwait City, Kuwait, June 21, 2025: Kuwait celebrated the International Day of Yoga on Saturday, June 21, with a bright and early start at 5am.
The Director General of the OCA, Secretary General of the Kuwait Olympic Committee and President of World Aquatics, Mr. Husain Al Musallam, welcomed two-high level Indian dignitaries to mark the occasion.
The Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Adarsh Swaika, and the Counsellor to the Prime Minister of India for yoga, Guruji Dr. H.R. Nagendra, greeted Captain Husain before the mass participation yoga event began.
Yoga is a social activity originating in India and going back over 5,000 years. It helps people stay fit, reduces stress and improves mental strength and focus.
June 21 was chosen as the International Day of Yoga because it is the longest day of the year, symbolizing high energy.
