Hanoi, Vietnam, June 17, 2025: The Vietnam Olympic Committee reports that Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen, Deputy Secretary of the Vietnam Sports Bureau, attended the 20th Asia/Oceania Region Intergovernmental Ministerial Meeting on Anti-Doping in Sport at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai on Tuesday, June 17.
The conference was attended by high-level representatives from governments in the region and from the World Anti-Doping Agency, WADA. It was held to exchange challenges, opportunities and commitments of government in the fight against doping in sport.
The agenda included the contributions of governments to WADA and preparations for the election of Board members for WADA Asia region for 2026-2028.
“The participation of Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen at the conference shows Vietnam's positive role in international sports forums, as well as the commitment of the Vietnamese Government in fighting doping and contributing to building a foundation for fair and clean sport,” Vietnam NOC said in a social media post.
The meeting was held with the support of the United Arab Emirates NADA (National Anti-Doping Agency) and Ministry of Sports.
