Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, June 17, 2025: The Olympic Council of Malaysia has congratulated its President, Dr. Norza Zakaria, on his appointment as Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee of the Badminton World Federation.
His appointment was officially confirmed during the BWF Council meeting held on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
“On behalf of the Olympic family in Malaysia, we extend our heartiest congratulations to Dr. Norza on his appointment as Chair of the BWF Finance, Audit and Risk Committee for the term 2025-2029,” stated Mr. Mohd Nasir Ali, Secretary General of NOC Malaysia.
“Dr. Norza is a highly accomplished corporate leader in Malaysia. With his exceptional track record in securing major sponsorships for the Badminton Association of Malaysia, we are confident he will make significant contributions towards strengthening the financial position of the BWF,” he added.
“As a qualified Chartered Accountant, Dr. Norza brings with him strong expertise in governance and financial management which will undoubtedly enhance the financial oversight and procedures within the BWF,” Mr. Mohd Nasir Ali concluded.
Dr. Norza is also OCA Vice President for the South East Asia zone.
