Singapore, June 11, 2025: The South East Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization (SEARADO) has paid tribute to two stalwarts - Dr Patrick Goh and Dr Hilary Inwood - who have stepped down from their direct involvement in anti-doping.
Dr Patrick Goh was Chairman, SEARADO from 2013-2024. Patrick’s involvement in anti-doping started in 1991 and, since then, he has been instrumental in the development of anti-doping in Singapore and has been active in regional and international symposiums. At a regional level, his ideas and contributions helped SEARADO raise the bar in Clean Sport.
Mr. Gobinathan Nair, Director-General of SEARADO, said: "Dr Patrick had, on a good number of occasions, planted an idea or thought in me for the benefit of the region which inspired me to work on it."
Dr Hilary Inwood has more than two decades of experience in anti-doping and, over the last decade, has been the Director of the Doping Control Agency of Thailand (DCAT).
During his term, he raised the standard and professionalism of DCAT in many areas, enabling DCAT to be certified by the International Organization for Standardization (IOS) - a first in the region. Under his leadership, DCAT has been magnanimous to assist other smaller NADOs in the region.
Mr. Nair added: "Dr Hilary is someone who is easily approachable to seek support for other NADOs or other clean sport initiatives. In fact, it is great to see Dr Hilary as a sports/government representative to be appointed by WADA in the Working Group on the Operational Independence of NADOs."
