Tehran, Iran, June 9, 2025: The National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran has lauded the historic feat of Reyhaneh Mobini, who sparkled at last month’s Asian Athletics Championships in Korea by winning a gold medal in the women’s long jump.
“In an historic achievement for Iranian athletics, Reyhaneh Mobini claimed the gold medal in the women’s long jump at the 26th Asian Athletics Championships, becoming the first Iranian woman ever to win a gold in the event,” the Iran NOC posted on social media.
Mobini produced a dominant performance jumping 6.40 metres to secure the top podium spot. It was Iran’s first-ever gold in women’s athletics.
