New Delhi, India, June 9, 2025: A delegation from the Indian Olympic Association led by IOA President PT Usha held a productive meeting with counterparts from the British Olympic Association last week in London.
Both parties exchanged ideas on athlete welfare, Olympic preparedness and best practices in sports governance.
The IOA posted on Instagram: “Looking forward to greater collaboration in the preparation for Los Angeles 2028 and beyond.”
The talks came on the sidelines of a two-day meeting with Commonwealth Sport officials to discuss Ahmedabad’s bid for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
A powerful delegation of Indian officials representing government and sport took part, including Harsh Sanghavi, the sports minister from the western state of Gujarat where Ahmedabad is vying to host.
Hosting the Commonwealth Games in 2030 is considered a significant stepping stone for India towards a possible 2036 Olympic Games in the country.
